Millers Auctioneers

Algernon Rd, Tyne and Wear

In the early days Founded in 1902 by Thomas Nielson Miller, the auction house traded for its first ninety three years from its Gallowgate salerooms in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The present day In 1995, due to expansion, the firm moved the east of the city and now operates from Algernon Road in Byker. The building we now occupy was formerly The Ringtons Tea Factory, a landmark made famous, at least locally, by its appearance on the bottom of the Maling Ware china tea caddies commissioned by the tea merchants. The seven-storey auction complex has been totally refurbished and now boasts multiple salerooms, purpose-built loading bays, long and short-termed storage facilities and a large customer car park.

The Furniture Hall, Cumbria

Mitchells Auction Company was established in 1873 as a multi discipline firm serving the needs of the local community as auctioneers of both livestock and furniture. Company founder Robinson Mitchell is credited with developing the first purpose-built livestock auction mart in England. The company has steadily evolved over the last 140 years and relocated its Livestock and Land Agency Divisions to an agricultural park on the outskirts of Cockermouth in 2002 to enable the firm to expand. This made way for Sainsbury's supermarket to be built in the town centre whose building design reflects some of the features of the original livestock auction mart on the site.

My Little Bid

Unit 49 Cariocca Business Park, Lancashire

My Little Bid was successfully launched in Manchester UK in January 2010 with an intention to pan out great British Customer Service. My Little Bid is one of the best innovative auction sites that is based on a unique business model and software solution which involves in selling all premium products like mobiles, cameras, cars, game consoles and many others at extremely low prices. My Little Bid auctions over thousands of products every month. How does it work? Our registered members buy their bids in advance where each one is around 0.50p and is sold in packs that range from small to XXL. As a bidder you may go in placing a single bid or place a bid using the BidButler, which is an electronic bid assistant or you could also place your bid via telephone. Every bid so placed leads to an increase in the price of the product by 10p and the auction countdown up to 20 seconds. In order to keep an eye on the amount spent on bidding, each and every auction displays how much amount is spent on the bids by the customer and how much money the bidder may be saving overall in case he won the auction at that time. When the countdowns ticks at zero, the last bidder standing wins the auction. And this is generally at an extremely low price and winners get to save on an average around 65% when compared to the original retail price.
