Acuitus Ltd

14 St Christophers Place, Greater London

A Leading Property Auction House. As one of the leading commercial property auctioneers, we pride ourselves on the independent nature of our advice. We have developed a service for buyers and sellers which combines a massive reach into the national and international markets together with a bespoke approach which ensures that every client receives tailored consultancy. We have the ability and market coverage to offer pricing and sales strategy advice for a wide range of asset types throughout the UK and the extensive buyer base to deliver sales through auction and by negotiated private treaty sale. Acuitus is regulated by RICS which is the pre-eminent global organisation of real estate professionals and therefore you can expect the highest professional and ethical standards in everything we do. For over 25 years the directors have been one of the most successful auction teams in the UK and were the leaders of the Jones Lang LaSalle auction business between 1990 and 2010.Unlike generalist property consultancies that also provide an auction service, we are not constrained by having to take a ""house view"". This freedom enables us to deal with every property on its merits and focus purely on our clients' aims. In addition to working with clients ranging from private investors to major institutions and central and local government, we have a specialism of working with receivers and administrators, and are regularly engaged to provide pricing consultancy on large-scale distressed asset situations. This market intelligence-led approach resulted in the cad (Commercial Property Auction Data) research initiative with Investment Property Databank which provides unique data-driven perspectives following each cycle of auctions. cad is providing investors with a new depth of information from which they can take decisions to either buy or sell and is emblematic of Acuitus's forensic approach to the market. Acuitus Finance - the firm's funding advisory arm - has become the leading specialist consultant in the auction market and produces Reality Check a quarterly review of the funding market.

Comic Book Auctions Ltd.

Online Only Auction, Greater London

Some years ago a fellow comics collector had tried every avenue to sell his collection, which consisted of over 12,000 American and British comics, original artwork and TV related merchandise. After sending lists to comic shops, approaching dealers and putting small ads in various periodicals and local newspapers, the results were disappointing. Most people wanted to ""cherry-pick"" a small number of desirable items, showing no interest in the rest, and a few made derisory offers for the whole lot. When we came to discuss this, I told him I'd had a similar reaction to a much smaller collection of my own. All perhaps understandable given the financial climate in early 1992. Some weeks later I came up with an idea to try and reach our target audience directly -- we would list the comics in affordable lots and attempt to sell them in the form of a postal auction catalogue. Having nothing to lose, my friend agreed and I set about putting the catalogue together with a few black and white photographs (taken up against our white bathroom wall) and a bidding form in the back which potential customers could detach and send in with their bids before the closing date. We printed 300 copies, did some small ads, and sat back with everything crossed.

Ding Tian UK Auction Ltd

Sofitel St James, Greater London

In 2013, two significant events took place in Chinas auction market. First, Christies held its first sale in China, making it the first foreign auction house to conduct sales of high-end art and luxury goods within China. And soon after that, Sotheby's also held a sale in China. With the two largest foreign auction houses gaining access to China, why can't those based in China turn the tables and make their mark on the global scene? On the 5th of November 2013, Ding Tian UK Auction was officially registered in the United Kingdom, basing itself in London, with its leading international art markets. Ding Tian UK Auction recognises a growing demand for high-end art among Chinese buyers, who are expressing an avid interest in acquiring artworks from beyond China, particularly from other parts of Asia and the West. However, most Chinese auction houses have so far been unable to provide a professional consultancy in this area. Ding Tian UK Auction has therefore provided a tailor-made one-on-one consultancy service for its customers, and aims to develop a close relationship between professional buyers and collectors. We offer confidential and professional advice on all aspects of buying and selling art, with leading industry experts from different parts of the world. Our aim is to integrate with international practice and to fully achieve the goal of international standardisation. As the first Chinese auction house registered in the European market to specialise in unique, high quality art for serious collectors, Ding Tian UK Auction aims to promote artistic and cultural exchange through our global platform, achieving greater integration between East and West in todays interconnected global economy.
