Universal Philatelic Auctions

4 The Old Coal Yard, Gloucestershire

2008 saw us celebrating our first 50 years of supplying stamps to discerning collectors. Omniphil and Avon Approvals were both launched in 1958. In those days it was not uncommon for 3000 young collectors to reply to an advertisement! Nowadays we supply individually priced stamps upon Approval and unit priced stamps from 'U-Pick' Mixtures to mainly adult collectors all over the world. 2000 saw us adding our now famous Universal Philatelic Auctions - quarterly 10,000 lot auctions with a unique reducing estimate till sold formula, that regularly attract bids from up to 1250 different collectors and some dealers. The combination of 'No Buyer's Premium' and 'No Quibble Guarantee' ensures that buyers interests are protected so that they may bid with confidence. Finally in 2007 we added a small eBay department regularly selling collections and bulkier type lots - based upon the same strong 'buyer-service' ethos - but with most lots starting at 1p and no reserve. Unsurprisingly these lots prove popular!
